Several years ago, Uday Walli and I won an engagement with a major software developer. The project manager at the company came across as a delightful lady. However, on the first day of the project, after signing the contract, we discovered that she was a witch in disguise. That evening, while discussing the change in personality, finding that the bride was a different wife, Uday recited the following sherby Mir Taqi Mir. It turned out to be very prophetic. Does this evoke any similar experiences?

The Project Manager's Life 1

I have taken up my studies of ghazals again after a four-year hiatus and would like to share a sher from time to time with you.

I have stared collecting shers that can be applied to our job as project deliverers. I think the one that follows, by Sudarshan Faakir, describes a common situation where we have a client project manager overseeing, and at times complicating, our own work and passing judgment on it. Are the two positions incompatible?

Please forgive and correct mistakes I might make. Hindi and Urdu are a challenge for a non-Indian, especially when working with poetry.
